Hiring a publishing company is a leap of trust. These are the promises behind every package and service we sell, with the fine print right next to them.
Before you pay anything, you get a written plan listing every service, its price and its dates. That's the price you pay.
The fine print: If you ask for something new partway through, we quote it in writing first and only start once you agree.
You keep 100% of your royalties and every right to your book. We publish on your own Amazon KDP and store accounts.
The fine print: We never take a share of sales, publish under our name, or keep your files hostage. You get all final files.
Every cover includes two concepts and three revision rounds. If you're still not happy with any version before you approve the final cover, tell us and we'll refund the cover design fee in full.
The fine print: The cover fee is our listed cover price: $199 for an ebook cover, $299 for ebook and paperback, $379 with a hardcover (in packages, the cover is valued at these prices). Ask before you approve the final design; approval and delivery of final files end this guarantee. Stock photo or illustration licenses already bought for your cover with your OK can't be refunded, and we always tell you that cost before buying. Designs you didn't approve stay with us, so you don't receive those files. One cover refund per book.
You pay 50% to start and 50% before final files. You can cancel anytime: before work starts you get a full refund, and after that you pay only for the stages we've delivered or are working on.
The fine print: Money already paid to others on your behalf, such as ISBNs, stock licenses, narrators or ad spend, can't be refunded. Full details are in our refund policy.
Every edit comes back as tracked changes in your own file, with notes that explain why, plus a follow-up pass after you review them.
The fine print: Design work includes three revision rounds; extra rounds are $50 each, and we tell you before one is needed.

Email hello@storysloom.com before you approve the final cover design and tell us it isn't working for you. We confirm the refund in writing within 1 business day and pay it back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Approval means you're happy with the design, so the cover guarantee ends there. Small fixes you spot later, like a typo we made, are always corrected free.
