We want you to feel safe starting a project with us. Here's exactly what happens if you need to cancel.

Refund amounts

When you cancel	What you get back
Before any work has started	A full refund of what you've paid
After work starts, before we deliver the first draft, concept or edit	50% of what you've paid
After the first draft, concept or edit is delivered	Payment for completed stages isn't refundable; unpaid later stages are cancelled
After final files are delivered	No refund

Costs we can't refund

Money already paid to others on your behalf, such as ISBNs, stock image licenses, narrator fees or ad spend, isn't refundable.

If something isn't right

Before you cancel, tell us what's wrong. Most problems can be fixed within your revision rounds. If we've made an error in our work, we'll correct it at no cost.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of being approved.

How to cancel

Email storysloom@gmail.com with your name and project. We'll confirm the refund amount in writing within 1 business day.
