Last updated October 8, 2026
This policy explains what information Storysloom collects through storysloom.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Storysloom ("we", "us") is located at 3376 Cherrybrook Drive, Jamestown, NC 27282.
What we collect
- Details you send us through our forms, chat assistant or email: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and details about your book and project.
- Manuscripts and files you upload or send, such as a sample chapter.
- Payment information is handled by the payment provider you choose (for example PayPal, Stripe, Zelle or Cash App). We don't store card numbers.
- Basic technical data such as your browser type, collected by our hosting provider to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To reply to your request, prepare your quote and free chapter check, and deliver the services you buy.
- To send project updates and invoices.
- To improve our services and keep the site secure.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your manuscript for anything other than your project.
Where it's stored and who sees it
Messages from our forms and chat are delivered to our email inbox and recorded in a private spreadsheet, and uploaded files are stored in private cloud storage, all through our Google account (Gmail, Google Sheets and Google Drive). Only Storysloom team members working on your project can see your details and files. We share information with service providers only as needed to run our business, such as payment processors, and with the publishing platforms you ask us to publish to.
Cookies and third-party content
Our site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the map on our contact and about pages is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when it loads. Our chat assistant may remember for the current browser session that you've closed its pop-up message.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months, and project records for as long as needed for tax and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your manuscript files at any time once your project is finished.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing storysloom@gmail.com. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under state privacy law, and we will honor requests made under those laws.
Children
Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a child is the author, a parent or guardian should contact us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
